Is anyone running a 4-spd with all of the correct linkage, with the 2 1/8” Stage 2 headers? I wasn’t sure if the factory BBB z-bar had any interference issues,or anything else.

I have the Stage 2 TA headers on my 70 4 spd "X" with no problems .

Do you really need 2 1/8" I'd Headers? Your Exh ports need to be flowing over 250 cfm@28" to really make good use of them!

Only issue is where to hook the return spring.

I had a similar issue with the return spring in another car,and I need to look at my files,to see where I hooked it.It should give me some ideas, but it will be easier once it is all in there, and I am staring at it.

On my dad's 4speed car I replaced one of the oil pan bolts with a 2.5in grade 8 with a stop nut welded about 1/2in up the threads so it could be tightened, then used the remaining length of bolt to hook the spring to, been that way for years

Maybe the same thing like Hugger, but with an eye-bolt? Maybe I am thinking too much into it.
