That's a rare one, somewhere in the neighborhood of 115 built

Me either knew they made t type. Dad said he test drove one that had a turbo........but this was way b4 I was able to drive.

Had to be faster than the 86 3.0l I drove to college that couldn't even spin tires in the snow... but that little slow thing got great mileage

It had something to do with being able to use the LeSabre on the race circuit - it was not meant to ever have a lot of sales to the public, just had to be available and a certain number built

They were naturally aspirated, not turbo.

They were built to qualify the smaller quarter windows and front spoiler for use in NASCAR. Mechanically they were a tiny bit souped up over a standard LeSabre.

Yes, different final drive ratio and transmission calibrations. They were NOT turbo/supercharged nor were they available with T-Tops. I think the final build count was 117...

My kid has an 88 T-Type LeSabre. I always wanted to swap a supercharged 3800 into it. This would be a cool car if I didn't have his to finish!

What is the issue with the trunk? Can you post a pic of the rear? What is the mileage and does it run?
