I took my rub strips off my front bumper because they were so ghetto. It doesn't look right without them, but oh well. I'd like a 1975 front bumper on my '76...has anyone done that? Two set of blinkers..

Anyone have a firethorn driver's side visor with mirror and light?

Are the ACRS systems identical 74-76?

The driver side visor mirror wasn't available back then.

Well, some parts changed as the 1975 dash was redesigned. I have never seen a 1976 with ACRS. According to the sales brochures, owner's manuals and chassis manuals, it was still available but I'm not sure it was ever installed on the 1976 models. Those who ordered the production information from the Sloan museum for the 1976 models could tell us more...

the only difference i have seen between a 75 and 76 dash is the clock. as a whole, they are interchangable, but their lenses and inner parts aren't.
i think everything else is pretty much the same isn't it?

and 74 is a whole different bird ...most of the acrs parts are the same except when it comes to trimming some of the dash out.

doesnt everyones 76 dash look like this?

1991-93 Roadmaster maybe? And the warning lights on the passenger side are from a Ford?

    What replaces the lighter?

its all 92 roadmaster, cluster/idiot lights/motor/tranny/fuel lines and an 89 caprice fuel tank/pump.
every tank of gas gets at least 19.7 mpg and i have gotten 22+ if i drive pretty sane. car has a 3.08 gear and 235/75/15 yokohama avid touring radial tires. a 2.72 rear gear will replace the 3.08 this summer.
thanks to the 700R4 first gear (3.06) and the generous stall of the converter, the car easily out accelerates the original SBB/350 turbo combo that i pulled out.
plus now i will soon get to finish installing the remote start.

i made the radio plate from some 1/4 thick plastic. made a flat piece of plastic for the lighter hole. it will likely become the landing for the hush/bass control on the blaupunkt v7000 amp when i install it.

Phil, did you find one? Look for boardmember "BJM" on AACA board, he offers them and more 71-76 Electra parts

    hey phil,
did you ever get a replacement back-up light?

    No I still haven't!

I've been more busy trying to find myself a replacement 4x4 pickup truck in the last few weeks!

A 42' truck hit my small Toyota 4x4 in February, I was lucky to have only a mild brain injury and a few broken ribs but I'm looking for another 4x4 now...

WOW i didnt know .... i hope you heal well and soon.

now back to the back-up light situation.....
i was at my buddy Ryans today. he does derbying and i sometimes find or supply cars for him to use.
he has a sweet rustless, dentless, bondoless 74 electra he is getting ready to strip:Dou: so i went to see what i can pillage from it.
near it was a 76 electra that had one really nice (and i mean REALLY nice)back-up light on it. i nabbed it and as soon as you can PM me a mailing address, it will be on its way to you.... think of it as some "get well:bglasses: " medicine.

In fact, I'm a bit tired to look at rusty Toyotas,

    I'd like to get myself a 1968-71 Jeep Gladiator with a "Dauntless" 350 V8...
