Bill was with Tom Rose when he accepted the car, & I believe drove it from Sims' to Tom's shop.
Car went to Tim Tackach of Struthers Ohio, to the current owner.

LOL. I was the one who asked John C to look at it after speaking with the owner. He passed on my offer and I told him to try and do better and put it out there. He said he would call if he got any better offers. With all the 73's I have and finishing up a restoration of a 4 speed at Then and Now my plate is kind of full. I am thinking my next purchase should be something different. Who knows? I did see it a few times at Norwalk. It is a nice car.

Are you 100% sure about the ownership chain? Tim had it when I looked at it in the Youngstown area (Struthers) but my recollection is the car traded hands at least once before the current owner got it. Tim wanted 15k (don't know exactly what it sold for but I basically decided on another Stage 1 at the time) and the next owner wanted around 7.5k, but that owner caught me at the worst possible time and I couldn't swing it. The current owner has always been high in his appraisal of the car. I'll give him this, there ain't much to compare it to, that's for sure.

Gary I have a picture of Salvation Jane and Great Scat when I owned them. I will somehow try to get them in this thread.

Speaking of old pictures? Does anybody have [ or knows of anybody who has ] any old photos of the Little Joe race car that Tommy Rose raced back in the 70's? Just checking? Larry

FYI. Tom didn't drive his cars, always had drivers. There are some pics of Little Joe from GS nats appearances that have been posted on the board. Mark Busher owned Joe for a long time, I'm sure he has some.

    99.4% sure.
Tim only raced the car 1 time, and ran right on his number, but Blew the engine.
The car has a correct 455 in it now, from what we know, but Not the original matching #s Block.

The 66 Car(s) (Unknown if 1 or 2 for sure), were "Tom's Tinker Toy". Donated to a Church, and sold. The last I saw it (or them depending on who You talk to) was in the late 60s out off RT 422 Near Southington Ohio.
The 67, was the Old "Roy C. Eaton" car & & was Black & had Kendall Oil Sponsorship. (He was the local Kendall Distributor)
Juan, was a Jr. Thompson car, that Richard Lasiter had after (sorry if spelling is wrong, 4 hours of sleep in last 2 days, and a L O N G drive back home)
"Little Joe" was a Card Hand, Not named for Joe Lawton, as commonly thought.
The Rudy Sim's cars, were carrying the Dealership Sponsorship (both the 71 &73) and were ordered out of that Dealership, after they bought the "Clyde Cole" franchise, in Warren Ohio.
Tom never drove the Buicks, but Did race at least 1 Cadillac in the late 50s early 60s, I believe out of Clyde Cole's dealership.
Cerni Motors, was where the car haulers came from.

The Pic looks like it was taken @ Tom's House, behind the Shop after the new Frame was put under Jane. (looking at the wheel wells)
I don't remember if it was Joe or Kenny, or Who was driving Jane @ Quaker, ( I think it was Kenny) and Tom had the two line up together. (Scat & Jane)
Jane Launched, and twisted so Violently that it broke the frame on the Right side, Broke the windshield & twisted the Body to the point the top came unlatched.
We had to move the Ambulance, (the old Packard, Mossy had) which used to park near the 60' line, to push it back to the hauler & discovered the frame had split.
Tom liked to make Swiss Cheese out of the Frames (look @ Little Joe) to lighten the cars, & went a little over board with Jane.
He also liked to experiment with various ideas, like using equal lengths of Flex Tube for Headers @ 1 point. Problem was, they "Flexed" and beat the inner fender wells up.
Granted, the "theory" Worked, but the damage wasn't worth the little gain in the performance.
