Bought the bezel from CARS very nice. I'm sure it's the same.

Steve... is that MOLOTOW pen really that chrome like? I used a chrome pen from Hobby lobby and was really just a bright silver... OK, but not chrome. I think yer dash looks swell! I took the liberty of turning the pic for a better look. I can deal with the dash right now, but the BAD LAD has old Cragar SS wheels and 3 male dogs on the property. Theres a few spots that need to get camouflaged! ws

Re the Molotow markers, I've used them on my model cars. They work well in that application, with a chrome, not silver, finish.
I wish I'd known of them when I did my dash.

Thanks Chris! My dash is slated to come out again next winter and itll get re-done again with one of these chrome markers. I also have a few spots of rust through the chrome rim on my CRAGAR SS wheels from many years of male dogs visiting the "hydrant". If prepped / cleaned properly, ya think this cant hide some flaws? Its not chrome and not perfection, I know, but I just need to camouflage these spots. ws

Ordered a 2mm pen today from walfart. Tons of youtubes on how to's and it looks pretty fair. Time will tell. ws

The markers are not water proof. I've had some test pieces soaking in the wet sanding bowl for a few days. It came off with a fingernail.
For a dash, they'd be great.

I just picked up a 4mm Molotow "Mirror Finish" chrome pen today from Hobby Lobby. I used the weekly (website) 40% Off (one regularly priced item) coupon (smartphone at checkout or print coupon from website). It was $12.99 less the 40%. I will go back over the course of a week or so and get the 1mm and 2mm pens.

I must say that I am impressed with the chrome looking finish of the Molotow Liquid chrome paint pen. I practiced on some raised edges on the back of a black CD case and the end result looks quite nice - not at all like the silver paint pens I have used in the past for hobbies and the like. I am wondering if there is a way to seal the finish ... an auto paint pen of clearcoat, perhaps? For more durability.

No adhesion promoter is required when painting a dash bezel if you use a lacquer based paint. The plastic is ABS and that is how it is painted. It is a waste of time and money. Now kick panels are a different story. Those are polypropylene and they require a promoter.
