Hello, Can I change the heater core on a 72 skylark non air car by loosening up the inner fender to get at the nuts under the fender? Dose the heater core come out on the engine side or from under the dash? Thanks

Yes, you can access them that way. I have removed inner fender completely in the past to increase access. After rim/tire removal, of course. The inner box, with core, comes out from under the dash. Make sure you carefully drain and remove the coolant line from the core, under the hood. I have carefully "sliced" the hoses with a drywall knife to avoid twisting and kinking the two ports.

just replaced the heater core. Easy to remove the heater box assembly but a real hassle reinstalling.
