Hello everyone I'm hoping that some may be will have some ideas where my turn signals went. When I started putting the car back together my left turn signal would actually flash all of the lights, similar how the hazards do. The hazard switch would just cause the lights to stay on, and right wouldnt do anything. Now I have no response what so ever from the turn signal switch or hazards. I looked under the dash everything looks attached except for a square type connector that has two larger guage purple wires coming from it, but couldnt see what that possibly attached to. I checked bulbs, fuses etc. And still nothing. I also noticed that when I have the headlights on, the taillights arent dim and then brighten up when the brake is applied, however without the headlights on the brake and reverse light work. I have replaced the brake switch. Any leads would be greatly appreciated

Do you have a 72 Buick shop manual? If not, get one. They have complete wiring diagrams. Sounds like you may have more than one electrical gremlin at work. As a start make sure all your grounds are hooked up correctly. A bad/missing ground can cause chaos.

Replace the flashers at the fuse box.

Yep, I have one in route as we speak, my current manual was missing pages and had bad printing. Thanks I'll look into the grounds to start
