Man...David...I've thought about calling you 1000 times but never did.
So glad you still have it, and that you didn't go down the LS road.
But I'm also sorry you still have it, because I have to keep thinking about it!
I'd love to have this car but my money is too funny right now.
I still may get in touch with you soon.

    Have a good day!
    Philip T.

Be a man, go for it! I just haven't really tried to sell it and it has just been sitting. I need to get rid of it though so I will make someone a crazy deal. I have all those killer parts still in a proven car. Lot of talkers, but we all no how that goes. If someone were serious about wanting a car that was built right, etc, it is an incredible find. The color seems to be a deal breaker for people, but it is menacing to say the least. You get a completely done car in terms of engineering, paint and body, etc that will go dead straight running high 8's to low 9s with the right power plant and you can drive this thing on the street. Someone call me! David 760-703-4627. Get your balls out from your wife's side of the bed and man up!

Still have car and a bunch of parts. Engine, tranny, fuel system and cooling system sold, but still have everything else. Car is ready for your powerplant and I still have complete twin turbo set up with CSU carb, turbos, headers, intercooler, wastegates, blow off valve, etc. Also have matching torque convertor which is a tight 10" Continental that stalls at 3200 RPM. Car also still has Strange 3 1/2 Chromeoly driveshaft, etc. I still have electronics for car as well with an extra MSD, Eboost2 Boost Controller, etc. 15k for car and can make package deal with parts, etc. Pricing for parts in Parts for Sale section. Negotiable on everything. Cash or 86/87 Turbo Regal. David. 760-703-4627. It would take you more than 40k to duplicate the rolling chassis without the parts. Got to be someone out there that wants this car.

TTT. Any suggestions? What am I missing here that I still have this car and nobody has bought it? I know the color isn't for everybody, but it is one mean looking machine and built right? Also willing to trade for 86 or 87 Turbo Regal. Still have my turbo system, CSU Carb, Continental Convertor, Strange Driveshaft, etc.

Ok David, you asked for suggestions...so I'll try to tell you what my personal hurdles are. Please understand that I am in no way trying to insult you, and I'm not trying to just kick the tires on your car.

Big one for me is distance. It's 2300 miles one-way to Phoenix from Baltimore, MD. It's hard to do that on a weekend dragging a trailer.
It's also a L-O-N-G way to go for an awesome car with an appearance that is very polarizing to me. It's one that you either love or hate, and I don't love it.

To me, (and again this is my opinion) on these cars the chrome trim is what makes a 1970-72 Buick a-body look so good. Even the bottom of the barrel cars had chrome.
The chrome and stainless trim around the windows, the chrome rocker panel cover, wheel-well openings, body-side moldings, hood lip moldings, headlight bezels, marker light bezels, vinyl top moldings, and the bumpers all bring a highlight to a certain design aspect of the car. Without these highlights the car loses it's identity. With no identity a person might as well put some Chevelle SS stripes on the hood and deck lid.

Sure, all of the bright work could be added back on the car, but at what cost?

I don't have a problem with the color. Quite the opposite. I love green! I found these in the lowered section, and they look great to me, all of them.

I also understand that we lighten our cars with fiberglass bumpers; so there goes the chrome. To me, glass bumpers look better gray or silver because you can still see the detail. I just saw a silver 71 Skylark for sale and all of the chrome was painted silver, exactly like the body. It looked awesome to me. It's not that I have to have chrome or nothing. Had an 87 Grand National for 22 years and I love the blacked-out look on those cars. But I also have an 87 Turbo T drag car and it has chrome all over it.

I think you built a great car! Exactly the way you wanted it. One that couldn't be duplicated for double your asking price. I'm just not willing or able to buy it and have it shipped to me as a roller in order to see it in person to decide whether I like it or not. I also couldn't justify a 4600 mile road trip for the purpose of looking at a car.

I doubt any of this will help but I just wanted you to know that I have spent a ton of time thinking and debating with myself about your car.

    Sincerely,
    Philip T.

Man how is this still on the market?
Says me with no room for more cars, but damn.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

I love your car. I think the color is beautiful and it looks baaaaaad to the bone. That said, I have to agree the reason it hasn't sold is the blacked out bumpers and trim. It's not for everybody and is most likely why someone hasnt stepped to the plate. At least thats the only thing I can think of.

I appreciate the feedback. If the blackout appearance is truly the issue for some people, I can discount the price to reflect what it would take to put the bumpers of somebody's choice on within reason. I would be willing to knock down the rolling chassis to 13.5k which is insane. Keep in mind, I have tons of other parts still for sale as well.
