Let me first say this was the most enjoyable ride since I have owned this car. The carburetor issues have been solved and it drove without a hitch thanks to hugger. Thanks Ethan for your time and expertise, I couldn't be happier.

We are having beautiful early winter weather so I though I'd head out to the lake for a photo shoot. Now I'm not going to pretend to be a competent photographer, I'll leave that to my wife who wasn't along for the ride. But I couldn't resist taking a few snaps. It's a 1971 documented Stage 1 car. I call the car "Woody" because the color is Rosewood, paint code 78.

    Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful car.. Is the color far from burnish saddle? It looks a tad darker?

    Again, really nice looking car!

Thanks for the nice comments. The color is quite different than burnished saddle. It’s got a good bit of red in it. And the sun really does a number on it by flashing the undertones.

It looks a little bordeaux in some of the pictures, but most of the pictures, on my phone, looks more brown.. No matter what tone color, the car is still beautiful.. :)

This thing is a gem, rides and drives tighter and quieter than any GS I've been in, and pulls very strong to be a stocker. Looks good doing it also

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

    Very nice looking car.
I describe Rosewood as Deep chocolate brown, mixed with silver and mauve pigments. My wife's '71 Z/28 was originally that color (no stripes). I like it as well. We had all the jambs done when she changed her mind. Now Hugger Orange/White stripes.

Nice and clean! I love it. My sense tells me you do as well.

It also looks like that engine bay is very correct. My goal next year is to make mine as close to a combo of factory and Day 2 as possible. I'm pretty sure 71 was the last year of the top post battery and I got my cables from Letric Limited for $50 each.

If you're interested, I suggest ordering them now because I recall mine taking longer than I'd have liked.

P.S. - I really wish I'd painted my radiator when the car was immobile for 2 months.

Found this photo of my car when it sold at Volo a few years back.

I remember looking at the car at Volo in 2007. I love that car. Been kicking myself every since for not buying it. When are you going to bring it to a national event? Would love to check it out again. Beautiful car!!

For anyone like me who grew up or lived in south Florida in the 70’s and 80’s you’ll recognize what I’ve added to the car. WSHE was THE go-to rock ‘n roll station. I was lucky to find a mint example of their license plate. And the colors seem to work well.
