Anybody know where to get floors for a boattail Riviera? Let's say worst case, all of them? Anybody ever have somebody local try to fab something up? What kind of cost am I looking at? Think it could be done without lifting the body off the frame? Can you tell I'm a little anxious?
they come in four sections so you can do one at time but best to take of frame and drill out spot welds then weld in at spot weld holes will look like new that way. http://boattail-riviera-by-buick.com/library/links.php https://c2cfabrication.com/store/in...t=4a&page=2&osCsid=c1cfa6fmgau0al96n103m91140 others to check Antique Old Buick Parts CARS, Inc. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/-/Buick/Riviera http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php Floor & Trunk Pans Fiberglass&Steel Bodyparts Fiberglass&Steel Bodyparts
Thanks for the links (although a couple of those site looks like they were made in 1995). Maybe I wasn't clear. I'm thinking about EVERYTHING. Picture this: You look in the car and all you see is the ground and frame. Wheel well to wheel well across the back. Under the back seat too. The way it's built, the floor and the rear seat back is actually one piece. Anybody make the whole thing?
You might be able to find a donor floorpan from a LeSabre or Centurian. I think 71-76 is all the same. I bet most full size GM cars of that era could be used as a donor.
the other ebody's are FWD, and Riv frame is specific , so others are probably not the same. Donor car Or use your parts on another with good floor rear quarters sounds like your best bet
Add your Riv to the Boattail Registry and look thru the Part book in the All Buick Libraries . The other full size buicks are not are not same as Riviera
Lesabre and other full size buicks are the same or very similar. On my riviera you can see the plugged holes in the firewall for the clutch pedal linkage. Three on the tree was optional on the Lesabre.
Old thread revival. I was under my 72 Riv and noticed some rust holes under the rear seat area, no doubt due to a leak at the rear glass. Has anyone done these repairs under the rear seat lately with one of these replacement pans? Here's some photos after I pulled the rear cushion and vacuumed out the debris. Someone handy with bending sheet metal and a mig welder could probably patch that up, with some custom fabrication. Maybe try finding some local talent? I had a '73 Riviera that had large holes in most sections of the bottom pan sections of the floor. I cut out a whole floor from a '75 Riviera at a junk yard in large pieces, and then cut out what was needed from that. Unfortunately the engine gave up before I finished welding the floor back in, and I sold it with the "new" floor laid out inside the car. I took a body shop class to learn how to weld, and worked on the car there. This was about ten years ago.
