    ***SOLD***
**Bumping this back up. My dad ended up buying this car but realized he really wants a Mopar so I decided to buy it back from him and put it back up for sale here. Price has been adjusted.**

Hello all, I'm selling my 71 Skylark with a 455/TH400 swap. I'm asking $8,250 O.B.O. Clean/clear title in hand. Car is kept in my garage in Waterford Wisconsin. I will be putting it up on Craigslist but its going on here first. I want a Buick person to buy it. This car is a great driver. Not perfect but not junk either.

I purchased the Skylark from the 2nd owners in April of 2012, their grandparents purchased from the original owners wife in 1972 after her husband passed away. They did a great job preserving the car because most of it is original, and in great shape for its age. There is some very minor surface rust/bubbling on the frame, body, and floor pans but no holes. You have to be within 3 feet to see. The body has some small dings and scratches, but again not very noticeable.

The 455 is out of a 74 car, not sure what one maybe Electra or Lesabre. But it runs great, has a Holley 670 cfm street avenger carb. with electric choke. New points, cap, and rotor were installed along with new wires and coil. I cleaned the spark plugs and checked the gap, they seem to be good. Has Poston long tube headers and a Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch exhaust. While the motor was on my engine stand, I cleaned it and painted it Buick red. Also I removed the oil pan which had some sludge in it so I cleaned that out as well. Some of the rocker retainers were broke so I replaced those, along with new valve cover gaskets. This engine is a big improvement in power over the 350.

Interior is real clean. There were two rips on the driver side seat so I put patches on them (see pic). No splits in dash or dirty carpet. Also the original steering wheel was missing all the plastic grip on the top and sides, so I replaced it with a Grant wheel. Everything works as it should.

I think that is about it. Please PM me on here. Or call, my number is 262-210-8023. My name is Matt, thanks for looking.

Lowered price to $9,500 O.B.O. I will be removing the insurance off the car at the end of this month for winter storage.

I completely understand Frank. I have a feeling it will still be for sale when tax return season comes next year. I think the magic number on this car will be between $8,000 and $9,000. Thank you for looking.

This won't last long. If I weren't in the process of buying another toy, this would be on my radar for sure. GLWS.
