The LS's are great motors. I loved the LS1 in my 2004 GTO. It was fast but got great gas mileage and it didn't use oil or leak oil. Plus, it had an old school feel, at idle you could feel the whole car kinda rocking side to side...
I totally agree, He is young, the world he revolves in, has a lot of ls in it, and I for one want to help support him move in that direction, IMO anyone who, does not agree has a simple path here, move on, I really like seeing young people being interested in the hobby personally I am the 3rd owner of #s matching un restored 1970 GS455, that I love, But as stated im going to build a outwardly stock appearing GS clone, with 4.33s a pro shifted slipper clutch 4 speed, and a 7500 pm ls motor, strickly because that's what I want,
Wow this car is fantastic!@!!!! I want similar with slicks, ls motor humming at 7500rpm as I side step the clutch!!!
I apologize if that came out rude, that was not my goal. It was my poor attempt at humor, I applaud the young man for going with a Buick in the 1st place. In my defense, this was not a "Hi, how are you" 1st time post. I don't care what anyone does with their cars. I know Luke will enjoy the car no matter what I say or do!
Luke, that is a nice looking ride, wish I had mine when I was your age. Good luck with the project and post pictures and updates as you go along.
