Did the 1970 wiring harness for gauges have an adapter for when gauges were ordered or was it a direct connect Like the idiot lights. Also was a tach wire always in the harness? The assembly manual states it is there ;and just tape back if clockWas ordered. Thanks Tom
For the gauges in 70 there was a different harness if you got that package. In 71-2 timeframe they came out with a patch cable.

I'm not sure where the tach wire would go. My 1971 GS had gauges but there was only the points wire on the negative coil terminal. So, it would not be connected on either end.
