You're going to love the breakerless electronic ignition.

I found a 7040246 Quadrajet in my box of carbs - 70 Stage 1 Automatic - curious about what you had to pay for yours, I’m told they are valuable. Trying to decide if I should rebuild it and sell it or sell it as is. Thx. Tom

What's the condition and what is the build date ?? Could be worth $1000 to $2000. Unrestored.

Looks like date code is 0150. My friend is restoring a 70 GSX Stage 1 and it gas identical date code. Maybe off an X?

Maybe or stage one built around the same time as the X definitely a valuable carburetor.

They were made in batches. That is one of the known date codes. That would be good for a car made as late as March. Your friend's GSX would have to be an early build

Definitely worth $1500 unrestored. I'd say maybe$ 2500 restored. I would start at two grand or best offer.

    I also found a 7040244 code 0990, and a few 7040240’s My 70 GS455 has a 7040240, but I’m not sure what the 244 is from?

    7040244 is of a 70 buick 350 automatic.

Tom, I paid $2,000 for mine and Mark at Quadrajet Power is rebuilding it for $299. He is one of the best and a member of this forum. I believe that the market is $2,500 rebuilt. I would have Mark rebuild it and sell it that way. His reputation will make the sale easier. Good luck.

Have you been able to run it yet?

Isn't it nuts the money these still bring? Especially, for a carb that was most likely replaced within the first few months of ownership for a "hotter" Holley.

Not yet. Mark Honeycutt is rebuilding the carb.
