1970 skylark drivers door trim removal?
How do I remove the thin trim at the top of the door and does anyone know the clip so I can get some spares.
Thanks to all for all the help!!

There's a Phillips head machine screw with plastic washer on the inside door jam at each end. The clips in the center are usually typical plastic body "snap" clips.

I use a wide putty knife/plastic pry tool to carefully encourage/disengage the center clips individually after the machine screws are removed.

The trim should snap off without damage or tweaking. Be sure to save and salvage all clips and screws.

Hopefully you won't need to replace any. Go easy and you'll do fine. Glen

Glen may have thought the upper peak moldings are like the factory belt moldings which have a screw on one each end holding them in. I thought the same thing. If you don't see any Phillips head screws by the door edges, then its likely all clips

Yes agreed likely all clips...Though my 70 GS came with the screws on the ends as did the 72 Skylark (parts car) I have.

Maybe Fisher or GM used different hardware at different times and plants. Regardless, those plastic clips should release easy.
