1970 Skylark GS Tube Chassis Race car

    For Sale: 1970 Skylark GS (clone) tube chassis race car built by Sunset Racecraft in 1993. Chrome moly chassis certifies for 7.50 E.T. (25.4 Cert) Cert is currently expired but has always passed with no issues. Fiberglass fenders, hood, and deck lid. Steel roof, quarters, and door skins. Lexan MR10 windows. Car weighs 2250 lbs. no driver. Doors are easily removed with push pins. Nose is one piece and removable. Car is painted Buick Diplomat Blue. Components include: Strange struts, Strange 4 piston caliper front brakes, rotors and hubs. Weld Alumastar 2.0 front wheels, Afco aluminum radiator, electric fan, B&M trans cooler, Aluminum motor plates & mid plate. Also have Chevrolet motor plates as well. All Auto Meter guages, K&R Perf wiring with overhead controls. B&M carbon fiber powerglide shifter with line lock button on handle. Shiftnoid electric shifter, Trans brake micro switch on steering wheel. Dedenbear Lightning plus delay box. Ford 9" rear with back brace, 4 link suspension with wish bone, Strange aluminum center section with 4.10 gears, Wildwood rear calipers, Weld Pro star rear wheels, rear slicks are M/T 14.5 X 32, although tubs will fit much larger tire. Koni double adjustable coil over shocks. BG 280 fuel pump, Simpson parachute . Rolling chassis with Select Performance powerglide trans B.O.P case, with trans brake, 9" converter. Car goes perfectly straight,very consistent and is a proven winner. Winner 2014 GS Nationals Super 16 class. Best E.T. 8.79 @150 mph. 30K serious inquiries please.     Man, That is a sweet looking drag car!!
    Looks really fresh, hard to believe it was put together in '93.
    Do you mind saying what you had in it to run that 8.79?
    Just curious, not ready to be in line.

    Car was originally built in '93, everything was re-done in 2006-2007 except for chassis and paint. All electronics, components, guages,suspension, etc. Was newly installed in '06.

    Ha! You never know!! Actually I do have a '61 Special wagon that I am making into a 2 door wagon. Doing it the hard way also, taking a long door off of a two door car and using that as the door.
