1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 For Sale

Saturn Yellow, Non-Air, Original Unrestored Car Matching Numbers
    .
This is an unrestored / unmolested GSX with all matching number original components to this car (engine, transmission, correct 3.64 rear end, carb, distributor, etc) and verified by the GSX Historical Society/Wayne Roberts as being the 165th produced and sold new at dealer no. 09-149 / Borcherding Buick in Cincinnati Ohio with an invoice date of 4/14/1970. It shows 00209 miles and has the original body broadcast/build sheet, showing its build date as 3/6/1970. There have been 3 previous owners.

The car is a candidate for a total restoration. In largely original condition and with some repaint work done in the 1970s-1980s, still has the majority of its original Saturn Yellow paint. The interior is original as well. There is rust in the usual areas of the lower rear quarters, around the inner wheel wells, lower front fenders, trunk floor.

We do have a stock of NOS sheetmetal (quarters, rear outer wheel wells, front inner wheel wells, core support, grille), as well as date coded original sheet metal that is not included here, though we'd would offer it to a successful buyer and may include some of it in the right deal on the car.

Located in Northfield MN, and the price is $47,500.00 obo. The car is advertised on other sites. 612-770-2655

Please take the time to review the V8Buick Boards posted and longstanding policy regarding commenting on items listed for sale:

    "Effective immediately.

Due to the high number of complaints I have received from users posting for sale ads, only to have the post overtaken by a flame war about prices, vehicle conditions, values, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire ect.. commentary will no longer be allowed in someone's ad. If you want to comment on something, make your own new post about it, in the Bench, or other appropriate forum. Reasonable requests for more pictures, info, or other sale related communication is still allowed.

The moderators have been instructed to immediately delete any post that even hints of anything other than straightforward buying/selling discussion.

Offenders of this new policy risk disciplinary action.

Let's just buy and sell some parts folks, and keep the commentary to ourselves, or in other appropriate forums. It's, at the very least, rude to break up someone's for sale ad with your personal views on prevailing pricing trends, or other non-sale related information.

All ads MUST have price and location along with your name to be posted with the ad. All ads not complying with this will be deleted if not edited within a reasonable time frame.

    Thanks

    JW"

As Pat said, last on the road in the 1980s. Engine turns, but hasn't run since the last owner first had it around 1980 +/-. As for the parts, we have some NOS stock, as well as correct date coded sheet metal that could be available and may even be included in the car deal. Price may be negotiable.

Your ad states it comes with the original correct 3.64 rear end (10 bolt) but the picture shows a 12 bolt, do both come with the car for the stated price?

Don't beat me up but that looks just like the OLDS Type "O" rear in mine. A chevy 12 bolt has the stamped rear cover with the oil trough stamped into it... Just sayin... ws

Chris, that's right. The correct rear end is out from under the car and will accompany the car with the rear end under it for the stated price.

There was a yellow X at the Nats close to 20 years ago that looked a lot like this one. (Maybe was the same car?). I then thought it'd be cool to do a mechanical restoration and drive it 'as is' (was).
