You couldn't get green buckets in 70? Just asking, no idea on the matter.

I am not representing myself as a Pro, but $35K seems out of the range for that car.

Was wondering the same thing after Hugger's reply. So this isn't a factory interior? It looks killer either way, really "pops" with the white.

My understanding is that you could not get green buckets in 70 but you could get a green bench. The owner switched the bench for buckets according to his Facebook post.

Correct, which is why, next to sandalwood (only available as a straight bench in '70),
green (Strato-Bench was avail.) is probably the 2nd hardest Rallye wheel to get. I've seen another that was converted to green buckets - A 350 car in OK IIRC. Definitely neat looking if one likes green cars/interiors, which I happen to.

Lot of variables but a clean triple black 455 or stage is going to be worth another 10 to 20k over any other color combo imo.

Clean 71 as pictured, if an Auto I'd say 40, 4speed add another 10k, jmo

I dont like bashing a car. It does look like a nice car. But I honestly wonder why it is people take an original car like that, and then make it a clone of something else. Without the badging the car is a whole lot more interesting to me personally. I'm in the market now, and in that area. Now I'm looking at it thinking... how much am I gonna have to repaint that thing when I pull those stage one emblems off and fill the holes.

If you're gonna clone something like that why wouldnt you start with a car that isnt numbers match, or a 350 car. I mean, not my car, not my problem I guess, but I've seen it far too often. Am I wrong in thinking that the numbers match 70 455 is worth more than a clone?

Too many times people take what is a very desirable original car and make it "their own". Then when it comes time to sell they wonder why there is little interest.

I agree 100%. Taking something that is already special and trying to make it "special-er" makes no sense to me. Take something plain and clone it, don't take a GS and make it a GSX, a 442 and make it a W-30, or a Mach 1 and turn it into a Shelby. That's what Skylarks, Cutlass's, and plain jane Mustangs are for.

I looked at a numbers match 72 GS 455 that was very well done the other day. But someone put all the dopey GSX stickers all over it. I could pull them off, and maybe be okay. Or have "ghosts" of GSX stickers, and need my car repainted. I had to pass.

Oh, I would too. I'm trying to get my brothers '71 from him myself. But if you're so inclined to make a clone GSX (I'm not), that's what you use....or at least should.
