Don't know about that Guy? Once belonged to Jim Jerichow and Mike Guarise. That I do know.

    Can you tell me more?

Yes, I found that other double blue car on here just now, bucket seats, rally wheels and not original block. Nice car though! The Jim Jerichow/Mike Guarise double blue car is a # 's car, hubcaps and bench.

    Hi Jim!

I could probably contact Mecum Auctions to find out who it last sold to.

Is it a 100% numbers car?

What did you think of the car? From the pictures it looks like it has tilt and PB. Correct?

    Thanks for your help!

    John,

Have a look at this one, if you already haven't: http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...4&pm=1&ds=0&t=1503522843000&ver=0&cspheader=1

One thing to consider is there were only 664 produced and since they're Buicks, it's very rare that they won't come with multiple options.

Another thing to consider is these cars are almost 50 years old and if you do the math - 664 divided by 50 states over 50 years means the "as birth models left - in good condition - are far and few between. (See above link)

My point is, it might behoove you to broaden your search in terms of options, interior, etc..

I was always on the hunt for a numbers 72 Stage 1 4-speed. 72 was my year and all I'd ever owned.

When Vader came along, the idea of owning a real 70 Stage 1 4-speed - even though it wasn't matching numbers - was very appealing to me for a couple reasons: it's a documented version of Buick's pinnacle (in my opinion) musclecar and it was something I'm not afraid to drive because it's a NOM car.

Just some food for thought as the search goes on.

    Hey Brett!

Thanks for forwarding the link regarding that Diplomat blue car. Yes, I have seen it on eBay and Carsonline.com. They want $84,900, and probably worth close to it. It is a "trailer queen" in my opinion, and that's not what I'm after.

Yes, 664 is not a big number for these cars, and some even sold to Canada, besides the 50 States.

What I'm looking for is a #'s matching driver, like the Chris Lance black car, or perhaps this other black car you know of. The double blue car is my dream too! And yes, I may have to go to alternate colours and options. Good thing I am patient and enjoy the "hunt" as it unfolds.

Not only is a 1970 GS Sport Coupe Stage 1, Buick's pinnacle musclecar, it is the pinnacle musclecar of ALL time, as documented and noted by Muscle Car Review magazine.

I sincerely appreciate your input and suggestions! Thank-you!

    John

    Hi Brett!

No luck locating that double black or double blue car. Seems they have "vanished" for now. :-(

One of them may surface in time. I am patient. I have a real nice '67 GTO to keep me in the musclecar mix.

Have you heard of any other 1970 Stage 1 4 speeds lately?

Hope your New Year is going well......

I still can't believe no one has scooped that up by now.

Thanks Brett, my acceptance to the Facebook Buick site is pending. Will look at the car when I can. Is it a 4 speed car, colour is.... Any details in advance appreciated!

I'll add my two cents which, with the current exchange rate is worth exactly zero:D The whole numbers matching thing is such a hype in my opinion. I got caught up in that years ago and was one of the contributing reasons I regrettably sold my GSX back in the day. The beauty is that you get the same exact driving experience from them. There are deals to be had out there for NOM cars.

To each his own I suppose. I am not getting caught up in anything, I am well aware of the numbers matching vs NOM thing. Both deliver their own experience. No matter the value of the dollar, both are an investment of different proportions.
