Is the drivers door on a convertible the same as a 2 door hardtop door for a 1970 GS?

Yes, except for the convertible wedges. If it was off a convertible you can always weld up the two screw holes.

I need a drivers door for my convertible. I am not sure what the wedges are? Can you explain? Thanks!

Because a convert is not as structurally rigid as a hardtop, special wedges were screwed into the door and door jam on convertibles. Their purpose is to hold alignment of the door.

There are dimples on the body and on the door for correct placement. Bronze to the body - chrome (SS) on the door.

Thanks. I see them on my car and didn’t know the purpose.

And if you need a door? I have a set of them in excellent condition from a 70 GS.Bruno.
