Hi, I'm looking for a diagram which can show me the nomenclature of the auto shifter (horseshoe) and how to rebuild it. I appreciate any help.

I am assuming a 70-72 Shifter? The image I attached it a diagram someone sent me from an assembly manual. I recently rebuilt a core That Kenny462 had and that was really all I needed because between ToddGS and his website DiecastMusclecars.com having all the hardware for it (He now has a kit available for just this) and a few odds and ends from The Parts Place I had a completely restore floor shifter for my auto.

When you assemble the shifter, there several SHORT flat head phillips screws on the assembly. Short as in 3-4 threads long. I put a drop of locktite on each one. I had one come loose and it jambed the handle release bar in the "up" position. Also, dont overtighten as some threads may already be compromised. ws
