Local yard has a 1970 Electra 225 4dr in it. Crank windows, A/C, posi rear, shoulder belts, passenger side mirror (pitted), rear defrost blower style, radio gone, no tilt, drivers side trishield mirror. Pretty bare bones. Fan shroud is spoken for.

    Car is gone.

Man too bad it's not a 2 Dr. Those heads are like the ones on my 10 second car with stage 1 valves and a little porting.

See if it's got the rubbers on the top corners of the rear bumper. If there good and not trashed I could use them.

2nd in line on the posi. I have a PO code 2.78. Anything higher would be great.

    Rob,
If I were you....I would get that engine for a spare....definitely worth it if you can buy it for $300-400 complete.
Also, get the fan shroud. Appears to have a 4 core rad...get that item.
Check out the seat belts...those are good resell items.

I can't check on any of the parts until the weekend IF the car is still there. Passenger side mirror was there but it has some pitting and there was a small gap between the base and mirror.

I pulled the motor and rear end out. Engine looked like a nice original piece, further inspection revealed an Isky camshaft, double roller chain and a fresh tune-up. Rear end is a factory 9 3/8 posi, gear ratio is 2.56. I will be selling the rear end, right now I have a complete rear end housing with drum brakes but would be open to removing the ring and pinion for a buyer. Radiator was a replacement 2 core. I grabbed the fan shroud as well. The Ram's bed still looks empty with an engine and rear end in it.

Seat belts are dark brown and there are a ton in this car because it has the optional shoulder belts which have there own specific female end. Rear male belt even have the little roller things to keep them neat.

Yes, its at Victory Auto Wreckers in Bensenville, IL

Did you ever verify if it is a 1970 motor and build date?

Rusty, the motor is original to the car and is a '70. Unfortunately its for another '70 project, sorry.

Austin it is a front drum brake car.
