Ok so a thread for my build. A great project I found after a good 8 months of searching and deciding what direction I wanted to go. I've always like the Rivieras. I was looking for a project Pre-1966 Chevy truck, but this Riviera fell in my lap and I had to have it. Long story short, after selling my 86 Regal and buying a SWB Chevy I picked this up in a trade. 1970 Buick Riviera - THE GOOD NEWS 455 V8 - 4 barrell - no rust, all stock just how I like
Installed new glasspacks Tried to throw my center gold 13's on it. The drums are huge, so they wouldn't fit.
Haha, yeah, I'm building it as a lowrider. We normally roll 13's. That was the first time I tried to fit custom wheels on it. Here's how it looks now. The wheels are 14x6 Cragar Star Wires with 175/75 whitewall tires. I think they go perfect.
And technically this is how it looks right now. LOL!!! Still working on it. Need to clear out some broken bolts to install the water pump and put the AC/Heater blower unit back on with new condenser and new heater core, then i can start working on restoring the front clip before I put it back on.
My Riviera made a brief appearance at the beginning of this Christian Rap music video. Check it out.....I'm the driver in the Riviera. :TU:
Great car - Great Video - even better message. I picked up a 69 a year ago, but I'm going in the resto direction. Good luck with everything. All the best. BH
Anyone heard of this brand, and is this a good replacement for my stock distributor? I'm looking for something I can easily just swap. http://www.aipelectronics.com/index...55-ignition-distributor-complete-dbg8-df.html
Trying to make time to finish my inner fender tubs and radiator support. Running out of time. Need it in paint by October.
Finally sent THE GOOD NEWS off to the paint shop. Getting some rust repaired under the windshield and at the bottomof the firewall near the door. Other that that, she's pretty solid. Going down to the metal and working it up fresh. Keep me in prayer. Lots of work to do and have ready by the end of November.

Thanks Sean. I hope to have her running again before December 5th for our 5th Annual Toy Drive in Dallas. Been a long time since I've drove it.
Anyone know how to pull the moldings off the back quarter window??? Do I need to pull the full panel off the inside???
You'll need to remove the back seat to get the inner panels off the inside of the car. Once there removed you can get to the 2 screws that go through the fuzzy strip that holds that trim on. The drip rail is not hard to get off but a pain to reinstall.
Excellent, thank you!!!!! I'll share with my paint guy. He might not like it, but it is what it is. I might as well get over there and do some other work to the interior while it's all coming loose.
