This is odd to me - car was sold last month on eBay here locally and now it’s for sale again...hmmm. It didn’t go far, it went from Apex, NC to Lumberton, NC - not more than 70 miles.
Just a couple of observations- looks like a fiberglass repro shroud. Not cheap to replace. That's definitely a parts place instrument cluster. And why is the radio bezel painted black?
It doesn't really fit. It contacts it and sits askew. If you ,remove the cup on the snorkel it will clear but you lose the ram air plenum.
From the eBay ad: "On Aug-19-18 at 14:15:11 PDT, seller added the following information: CAR SHOW READY.. 9 3/4 OUT OF 10 CAR....." Hmmmmmm. Well, it wouldn't take much to correct some visual things. No radiator hose hook, the door armrests are the shorter ones and should be the longer 16inch ones, wrong centercaps, early build car (08D) w/ late build overflow tank and why does it have the '69 style hood spring surrounding the hood latch. Nice car otherwise and really like the color combo.
Interesting. I had considered buying this car. I was putting my finances in line and it sold. Its definetly suspicious that it is selling again so quickly, like interesting as in suspicious.
I am suprised he didn't give that darn kid a woopin for touchin that tyre being a Wide Oval at that .
Has anybody here actually viewed this car in person, I really like the look of the car and just wondered if anybody here had looked at it. Thank you. John
Looks like the seller got nervous about potentially "giving the car away" and cancelled the auction. Im assuming the bidding didnt get where he needed it to be. The issue is that in these "no reserve" auctions, bidders hedge their bids till the very last minute. So it may or may not go as the seller intended and by that time, its too late to cancel. its the sellers prerogative to cancel the auction. Maybe he had an offer locally. If so, I cant blame the guy. If you have someone standing in your driveway with a pile of cash making you a good offer, Id cancel the Ebay auction too. Ebay does frown upon it, but your allowed to cancel up until the last 12 hours .So when it gets cancelled, naturally all bids get cancelled.
Jason, When I have a no reserve auction it is lasting until the end with zero monkey business. This was just a phising ploy to sell the car without paying the $ 125.00 fee. That is not fair to any bidder and shows the sellers true character..
