I've got a 1970 Buick Gs 350 which is in excellent condition. The car cruises down the road @ 65MPH with no issues! This car is original and has never been modified except new 4 core radiator. The car has the original white paint, brown vinyl top, brown bucket seat interior with the original drive-train (123K miles, sounds fantastic). The car has never had any rust anywhere!, no bumps or tears in the vinyl top. All the chrome and trim is in very nice condition. This is not some car that has sat in a barn, garage or warehouse waiting for someone to bring it up to roadworthy. I've had all the components such as the original alternator, starter, carburetor, points ignition, front-end, transmission inspection, front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, new tires, new mufflers with factory exhaust pipes. I did have a new 4 core radiator and high performance water pump and new clutch fan to keep the car cool. The car just developed a exhaust manifold leak right side. The interior still has original carpet and the dash, dash pad, headliner, door panels and console are in near perfect condition. I know this car sounds unbelievable but I can send any pix to verify. You can get in and drive to any car show with confidence. The price is $24K and I'm located in Chilton Wi, just 40 miles south of Green Bay. I'll post some pix and if you've got any question email: mikejan1968@sbcglobal.net. I've owned the car 2 years and have enjoy it but a titanium insets in my back has taken its toll. I bought from the 2nd owner who drove out to Denver and bought it from the original owner in 1996, he had is 21 years and put about 1500 miles on it going to shows in the Milwaukee area. The car has some nice options such as tilt sport wheel, disc brakes, am/fm stereo, AC (not working), tinted glass. sorry I rambled but hard to describe how near unheard of condition this car is in. Thanks Mike
I've seen pics in other threads as well - Beautiful car. Not many orig. cars in that condition. If it fit in my life I'd be interested. GLWS.
I remember this car from the Milwaukee Craigslist not too long ago, these pictures are way better than what was presented there. GLWS
Thanks, while John had the car the better part of 20 years, he didn't undated any of the components that make a car roadworthy. He told us that he rarely drove the car. I contacted the daughter of the original owner and she was a delight to talk to. It gave the car a nice background.
Congratulations - if you got somewhere close to the asking price above, that's great to see a GS 350 go for very decent $. Someone got a very nice car.
Awesome! Congratulations. You got a real beauty and the thene colors for much of the '70 ad campaign.
I was asked to post some photos of the car as it being mostly un touched and original. This weekend it will get cleaned and I will try to find as many factory applied stamps and marks as possible. It was dealer undercoated so I will clean the underside as much as needed. The seller says it has 100 percent factory paint, we will see. If the car is as nice as the trunk paint we may be on to something!
