My brother is 15 years older than me so when we were cleaning his brand new 72 GS (I later bought for my 1st car MUCH to my Dad's dismay!" Pile of junk ! "lol) anyway while cleaning that and cruising I learned to love his 50&60's music. Loved the funny stuff Ahab the Arab,Purple people eater,Beep beep,Charlie Brown,Hot Rod Lincoln,Paralized,Big Bad John (of course! lol) ,Small Sad Sam, etc etc That said I love late 60's & 70's Rock und Rolllllll : ) Deep Purple,Blue Oyster Cult, BIG CCR fan, Jimi Hendrix,AC/DC,Grateful Dead,Lynard Skynard,38. Special,Jethro Tull,Grand Funk Railroad,Johnny Winter,Mountain,April Wine, James Gang,Cream,you get the vibe. I have a few huge boxes of 8-tracks down in the barn if not ruined yet but I know I lost my favorite tapes all in one night in the 1980's Story time ; ) Yeh so one night i had the brillant idea of stacking my favorite 8-track tapes on top of my tightened sun visors. Gasing up my car one Friday night at the 7-11 when a guy in a jacked up Camaro stops in the middle of the road,power brakes it and roars off yelling stuff. I finished up as quick as I could,ran in and paid, and as quoted from "Uneasy rider" jumped in and FIRED THAT MOTHER UP! I came out of that 7-11 boilin the tires,car TOTALLY sideways which was my favorite and cool and satisfying and ALL good until I fished it the other way to continue wagging down the road hunting that damn Camaro. The INSTANT I let it fishtail the other way I did a Homer Simpson as I looked at the the 8-tracks AND the open windows! YEP, there they ALL filed in order straight out my passenger side window!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRGH!!! I got out of the gas to straighten up so I could see them out of my rear view mirror and all I could see was a tumbleweed of tape rolling down the road. No survivors lol The good ole daze
