1970 455 Heads with Casting # 1231786

Looking to buy a set (pair) of 455 heads with casting # 1231786, and a build date code of either A or B (January or February). Any build date within these two months (A or B) will work.

Would prefer completely assembled heads with lifters and valves, etc. but would also consider bare heads with these castings. Hot tanked and magnafluxed would be even better!

Maybe. This core engine has a late 69 date code on its' intake. Can certainly have the heads checked at a local shop, but would have to pass those costs along. Dave S. Dona Ana NM 88032

I think I have a couples of sets of heads. A or B. Does it matter Stage 1 or Standard 455 valves?

sorry, the core engine has head casting #1237661, probably a lower compression version. Engine did likely come from large type of vehicle, it had large car (BCE) bracketry on it when first discovered it in local yard

The 661's are 71 heads BTW , for anyone wondering

 

I assume these are June 15th? Probably not what you are looking for but I thought I would post anyway.

Thank you for this information. There is a faint "J 9" on the intake, on this core engine, which thought corresponded to a late 1969 production/1970 date.

 

No luck on my end Samuel I thought my pops had a couple of sets somewhere

 

I have about 12 sets of heads, no A or B dates.
