I’m in desperate need of a set of AC compressor brackets for my Buick. Show season is already in swing! I have the alternator/compressor mount but need the stamped steel pieces.

Need to know which compressor bracket you have, the tall or short, look at the two ears where the triangle brackets come off the compressor, the cast ears will either be 1/2in tall or 1in tall

I believe the triangle bracket is one of what I’m missing. I have the cradle which mounts to the block and the compressor itself but whatever connects those two... :/

That looks like the tall bracket from the pic, it's hard to make it work on a BB, measure the pads I mentioned, the triangle brackets I'm referring too, will bolt on the bottom of the compressor and then bolt to the aluminum piece, you will also need the correct alternator arm.

The Riviera positioned the compressor differently as did the 350, gotta have all the stuff that will jive, can't mix and match it will never bolt up

Do you happen to have all the pieces?

If this picture is the correct set up for a GS 455 then I am missing the brackets you’ve shown, the small piece in the lower left corner and the large mounting brace to the motor. The mounting brace I have seems to be incorrect from what hugger mentioned

Not sure what the small lower left is?? I have a upper but it might be the same as you have??

Yeah, I’ve got the upper, I’m not sure what the small piece is too and it could be that it doesn’t belong. I’m at guess work at this point.

The small piece in the lower left is the piece that goes on the back of the compressor and holds the lines upright when the hold down bracket is tightened up. I do have both the large pieces in the above pic. I'll post them shortly. They were the wrong pieces when I put my '71s A/C back together and I'll sell them for a reasonable price if you want one or both.

Here are the pics. PM if you need more info.

I can assure you , when trying to piece it together you will go insane, I can assemble what you need, give the part number off your aluminum bracket and I can mock it all up to make sure it all jives, the alternator arm is usually what throws a wrench in the works

I’m trying to make sure I have the correct parts for a 1970 Buick GS 455. I’m convinced my aluminum bracket is incorrect. As such, would you happen to have the entire set up for a 70?

This the "837" arm with the "flat" top bracket and steel lower bracket, this combo works as it should, you substitute any piece of it for another and nothing lines up, I should be able to put together an aluminum setup, but I'm thinking you will need the "139" arm iirc,

The result of angled top bracket with "837" arm,..no go

The result of flat top bracket with same "208" bottom bracket, arm will bolt up but doesn't have the correct arch for the alternator adjustment,..no go

Hugger, are there different alternator support arms (coming off the water pump housing)?

Another combo, I've made this one work, but it's a pita to work with IMG_20180506_162821747.jpg This is a "728" lower "837" arm with a flat top, it will bolt up with some cursing but not a " matched" set by no means hole in alt arm to top plate is the problem as is intake bolt, gotta kinda start everything then run them down " not recommended" but,..
