1969 Buick GS Stage 1 Convertible????

    Does the ‘69 4speed floor console have the shift pattern on it, and if so, should the car have a solid black (no pattern) shift ball?

    Yes. My non console original 4speed has the pattern on the ball. My console 69 4speed has a no pattern ball .

    That same burgundy 69 stage car shows in the catalog for RM Sotheby's auction in Fort Lauderdale at the end of March.

    Just my opinion this car would sell much higher with a pedigree of gold or silver awards from the GSCA, BCA or AACA. This would sort out most of the details

    A 69 Stage1 convertible is worth more than the 42K it sold for.

    I agree. From what you pointed out, it could be ‘right’ for $2500-worst part would be painting underside of the hood. I bet that, plus a good score from a Buick event, would put it on the other side of 50 easy.

    No show at Fort Lauderdale auction, bnb unless it sold yesterday and already got hauled away.

    Still, i found a classic Porsche I can afford.:D
