I would like to redo my 69 GS 350 with the proper drums. Ones on the car front are cast iron with fins but
they look like they belong on a chevy. What was the deal with the aluminum drums? Were they standard issue?
The car is Non-power brakes, 4 X drums. Were the aluminum spec'd with power brakes?

    Thanks.

As far as I know, the GS 400 got the aluminium drums, the rest got cast iron, regardless of power or non power brakes.

Aluminum drums will go right on. There are some on ebay right now. I got a set relined from J&G Relining.

Good to know that is available. I had some AL drums on a parts car and they worked perfect on my 65 Gran S.
