1969 4 speed Short Console Color?

I'm looking to re-fresh the paint on mine and I was interested if satin black would be the correct spray paint color to use? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, if it's black I've had good success with Duplicate-color coat vinyl and fabric specially coating, you can get it either in satin or gloss I restored automatic floor console couple years ago I started with a couple coats of satin and then a couple coats of gloss so it would be semi gloss when it was dry. Part number HVP104 gloss HVP106 flat black you can go pick it up at pep boys auto zone etc. I have also heard that Sem Landu Black works good also.

 

Thanks for the info Stage 2 Iron. I have some SEM Landau Black I can try with. Why vinyl and fabric specialty coating over regular spray paint by the way? There are no flexibility concerns on this as I believe its pot metal.
