Parts car is providing the rocker trim and right front wheel trim. Funny the rocker trim was not in the pictures for the parts car, but
when it got here it was inside the car!

Wow that's a fantastic find, good on you. I paid $14,000 for mine 5 years ago and it was slightly better condition, but not by a whole lot, likewise with buckets and console. And that was a fair price down here.

The long chrome body strip has always intrigued me, I don't have it and I am not sure I like it....but was it a factory option?

Were they a factory option? Were those long strips available on the 1967 model? Does anyone know?

I don't know about '67, but, on my '68 build sheet there is a lot of chrome trim listed. I couldn't tell what was factory and what was standard equipment.

Facts and figures only shows a paint option 95EFAE8D-A0AA-4DDA-AF0D-A6305D3F0797.jpeg

I used to sell Plymouths and Chryslers in 1983-84 and the standard equipment was always listed on top and the options and codes on the bottom on the window stickers and invoices.
On my build sheet, I have no idea what was standard and what was optional with the exception of the major items like cruise,A/C Pwr. seat, posi etc. which is obvious. The long list of trim seems to be sprinkled here and there on the Build sheet. So are you saying that only the paint is an option and all wildcats came with the same exterior trim? Wasn't any of the trim optional?

The only trim that was optional was the bright window surrounds on a sedan

The Wildcats came standard with trim around the front side marker lights, wheel wells, the rocker moldings, fender skirt trim and lower rear quarter trim. Le Sabres were offered trim upgrades usually to differentiate the standard vs. custom models. Some stripped down Le Sabres were made with just rocker moldings and that's it.
The paint option was a dual painted pinstripe that ran the length of the body line. As far as I know, it was put on all Wildcat custom models and was the only external difference between a standard and a custom Wildcat.

My '68 has the two pinstripes on the side. Long rocker moldings. Red exterior, white vinyl roof, white interior. Has A/C, 3.42 posi, tilt, cruise, electric antenna. AM/FM stereo 8 track, cornering lights plus some other options I'm forgetting at the moment.

Y’all are making me jealous. I had a ‘68 Custom, originally code V (dark charcoal metallic) with black bucket/console interior. It was red when I rescued it from a junkyard but sold it before I got it running. One that ‘got away’. Nice find Ted! One closer to owning them all!

One of these days I will have to get it out & take some pics. I've owned the car since '77 from the original owner & unfortunately have NO pics of it.

Thanks guys, for clearing that up. I assumed it was a paint only option, it's the only thing left to do on my Wildcat.
