1968 Riviera parting out

Discussion in 'Car Part-Outs' started by compedgemarine, Apr 26, 2012.

  1. I am parting a 68 Riviera. the engine and trans as well as the doors and fenders are spoken for but everything else is available. nice black dash, aluminum front drums, front wheel mouldings, set of four chrome road wheels. car is rough but has lots of trim and small parts.

Id like the wheel well moldings if they are straight and dent free. I can buff them out but not remove dents.

  4. here is a pic of the front mouldings. there are a couple of very small dings in each that would not show up in a picture. the right rear is junk, I will have to look at the left rear tomorrow.

Can I get some pics of the screen and trim covering the speakers between the rear seats?

Can you get the drip rail mldgs of without destroying them?

  7. wildcat, I will pull the speaker grill this weekend and get a picture of it. it does not look bad but I will know for sure after it is out.
briz, yes I should be able to get the drip rail off with out a problem, I do it all the time at work. I looked at the left rear wheel moulding and there are a couple of small dings in it. noticable but could probably be removed without too much effort, I have fixed far worse. as I said the fronts have just a couple very small spots that are hard to notice.
    thanks

  10. some pictures of the parts I have off

    100_2179.jpg
drip rail mouldings, they came off fine, I dont see any damage anywhere
    100_2180.jpg
nice black dash pad, the vents are stuck but the pad looks real nice
    100_2183.jpg
complete grill, it is warped and there are a few cracks but there are no missing parts and all the studs are good
    100_2181.jpg
nice tail lights, one is perfect, one has a faint craze line at one end, rough center console, cracked on one side and barn door hinge screwed on the storage door. better than nothing if you need one.
    100_2178.jpg
gauge cluster, no cracks or damage and lenses are clear but printed circuit board is bad (mouse)

  11. still learning how to attach pictures. here are a couple more

here is the speaker grill. the mount is rusty but should clean up. the grill looks ok and the chrome is not bad with the normal age and light pitting but would clean up fine for a driver. it is 10" wide and 8.5" tall.

backup lights and tag light. one back up is clear the other shows some crazing

    What's your price?
Shipping to N2L 3G1 Canada (University of Waterloo)?
Does the screen have any dents in it? Does it look like it's possible to switch the Riviera symbol for the one from my Wildcat? (Mine's still in the seats so I can't tell. I don't mind doing a bit of work)

  13. Kack, looks like the shift indicator is in a box bolted to the bottom of the intrument panel, I assume that is what you need. do you also need the hook piece that is on the steering column that the link hooks on?

  14. 100_2188.jpg
wiper arms, look nice but the pass. side blade frame has a kink in one spot

    100_2189.jpg
washer bottle, yellowed but in nice condition

    100_2190.jpg
front turn signals, chrome is nice for a driver, couple of small pits, lenses are showing some crazing

    100_2191.jpg
rear side panels, nice for a driver but need cleaning, no rips and not bad for their age

  18. Kack, looks like the best price on shipping is First-Class Mail International Parcel with the US post office at $12. it does not say how long it takes to get there so if you need it quick let me know but priority runs about $35 so quite a difference.
    thanks
