I am wondering if this is a real California GS. Was built in Wilmington ,DE. No A.I.R. pump or indication that there was one installed( no plugs in exhaust manifolds). My 67 California GS was built at the Fremont plant and had a A.I.R. pump.

Bruce- the California's could be built at any plant.. As it was a standard Buick vehicle that they just added GS parts to.

    George,

Went to the guy's business to look at the 68. Car spent many years in Rhode Island but wasn't driven much. Just under 73,000 miles, pedals and carpeting indicate this is probably true mileage. Car was repainted the original color red. All panels are original - good news. Bad news- bondo in right front fender and some in the rears. Magnet sticks. average paint job with some minor scratches. Vinyl top is in very good condition. Package tray is trashed as is the driver door armrest. Driver door panel has a small hole in it. Rest of interior has average wear, still looks good. Underside has surface rust(best I could see). Trunk is solid. Engine did not smoke but there is a little lifter/pushrod ticking upon start up. Rear bumper needs to be rechromed, front is good. Car seems original and overall in good driver condition. I rate this a #3 car.

    Hope this helps!

HA!!! Yes, I actually know the car!! I believe it came from East Providence or somewhere close!! The guy (at that time- year, maybe 2 ago) was trying to get between $7500-$10K. The 3 blurry photo's are from when it was in RI.. Can't believe it made its way all the way out to AZ!!!

I knew that was not an AZ car from looking at the under carriage. Living in Maine, I know all too well what that orange color means.
