I thought maybe others would like to see my recent repairs on a grill using the polyvance plastifix product. After way too many hours researching how to repair the grill I decided to try plastifix. I never used it before but turned out to be fairly easy. 20200424_085005.jpg 20200424_084953.jpg It allowed me to recreate tabs that were missing completely. I also was able to create a missing corner and repair other damage including multiple cracks. Good stuff if you ever need it. 20200424_084943.jpg

Plastex works well also and it's available from Eastwood. It comes in clear, white and black.

I emailed Polyvance about the shelf life of unmixed powder and liquid and they stated several years, and that they have some in their shop they have been using for about ten years. So, if kept sealed and properly stored, I figure the "Pro" kit is a very good value, especially for folks doing large or several repairs.

I hope that this will work on the mounting grill stud//screw area on my 71 Skylark grill.
