Hello, I am new here and have a question that may not have an answer.

Working on a 1968 Buick Riviera GS with a 430. Ordered a set of Doug's Headers D202 but they do not fit. Doug's says this must be an early 68 as the listing they have does not show the cross frame. With that said, I must return these headers. Problem is, I cannot find any elsewhere at all. I don't care if they are shorties, or full drop with collectors. As long as someone knows they'll work, I need them. Thank you for your time!

Hopefully the answer isn't "there is no such thing unless you make it".

On the second gen Riv shorties or stock manifolds are the only way to go. Long tubes will not work. You can buy the from TA or get a set used. They show up every so often on here I've played with the idea of making my own long tubes with a 4" collector

Thank you. This is exactly what I need. They don't show a ceramic coating option, but I think the chrome will work. The finish won't last as long though.

Doug's is incorrect and they need to change their listing. No difference in early or late cars. They should be paying for return shipping

TA will certainly jet coat your shorties for you. Although, powder coating is so prevalent these days. I know 2 shops in my area that do it. In fact I am dropping of my fan and pulleys at one tomorrow. Search around and you can get yours done yourself or have TA do it. And be sure to get TA's 2.5" exhaust. I can't tell you how poorly mine ran without mandrel bends on a 2" exhaust.
