I had some questions about 1970 GS 455 Stage 1 Auto specific production number questions between the book (not sure if I am reading it right) and what I found online.

Book shows 2865 Stage 1 455 built in Flint while the chart below shows 2465. Am I not reading the book correct? which is correct?

Online I found this chart which shows 2465 stage 1 hard tops made of which 1785 are TH400 auto.

Ultimately, I am trying to figure out how many Glacier White 1970 Stage 1's with TH400's were built. I've widdled mine down to what I think would be correct, see below and let me know your thoughts.

    1 of 2,465 GS 455 Stage 1 Hard Tops
    1 of 1,785 with TH400 Auto Trans
1 of 535 in Glacier White but I think this is all GS455's correct? Unless you assume that Stage 1's were about 15% of the total production so could you assume 15% of white GS's were stage 1's making them 1 of 80 in Glacier White?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

The chart shows 2465 GS Stage 1 + 400 GSX Stage 1 which matches the 2,865 in the book.

    Extrapolating would be statistically incorrect.

You're taking one percentage (Stage 1) based on total production (GS 455) and applying that percentage to a completely different sample (color). It doesn't work that way.
