Got mine today, Thanks. I have a question on two different pages. Both question reference the same code. 1971 year D35 Sport mirrors & Y51 Body side molding with code M Verdemist green and code N Verdemist green. What is the difference?
Count me in for 2! Please let me know as soon as they are available and I'll send payment. I'll give you an address in NY for the other copy if you will send it there. Thank you!
No it does not, The GS "California" was an option the "Special" and not its own model number. I may have the stats in raw form for the "GS California" but I would have to dig through my archives (piles of paperwork) to find it.
Mike I was afraid of that. I have a 687 California in very good condition. I had it judged at the GS national in 2016 and received a 5 point deduction for cloth seats. When I contacted the head judge following the show he said that he had judged a number of those cars and had never seen one with cloth, so it must not be correct. I ask him if he had a 68 Fisher Manual and to look at the trim page numbers for trim number 106 which is listed as black cloth/vinyl. I wonder how many were built with the cloth seat? My car was ordered by a lady.
I found the '69 numbers but not the '68. Since it was an option and not a unique model the information on "California" equipped cars is very limited and will not tell you how may California equipped Specials had that or any trim numbers. It would tell you how many Specials had that trim number and any other available option. If I come across my '68 info I will let you know. If it was a listed option you should not get a deduction. Just make sure you have that info handy at the next show. I had a similar issue with the wheels on my '68 since they had trim rings. Once I was able to show the BCA that my car came from the factory with those rims and rings they reinstated my points. The codes on my build sheet shows the part number for the trim ring and wheel.
I'm in for one of those. No pay pal here. Can you please PM me a mailing address for payment? John U.
Mike, I just sent you a Paypal (F&F) payment for one of your books. Thanks for making these available again.
