1967 Skylark 300 Trans?

Discussion in 'The "Juice Box"' started by poison heart, Jul 3, 2008.

  1. I would want to see the trans tag and vin stamp before i accepted that as fact.. it's highly possible that somebody dropped a 68 trans in it at some point in it's life.

its the orig trans it was orignally a 340 car

it has low and drive no vp thing unless its just never worked

  3. it's entirely possible that somebody removed the switch pitch linkage and wiring at some point and the transmission is acting just like a fixed pitch. what does your kickdown switch look like?

The switch pitch trannys had a 2-prong electrical connector on the drivers side. Standard trannys had a 1-prong connector.

I'll be selling my motor and tranny when I pull it. No idea on the condition of either.

Next time I'm at my ranch I'll put a socket on the crank and see if she'll turn over.

Open to offers on the motor and/or tranny. I don't think I'm going to use them.

If it's good and no one wants it I'll throw it in a hot rod whenever I find a good body.
