Nice looking car... https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-car...op/1355901808?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Nice to see one without 13 inch wires and a chain steering wheel that you can drive with handcuffs on. Skirts definitely changed the look. Very cool ride.
Even nicer to see one that’s not turned into a GS wannabe, This one’s future is probably bleak, it’ll end up losing its skirts, having mismatch trim put around the wheelwell, Later model sport steering wheel. I doubt this one originally had the chrome wheels. In my eyes, a “proper” 67 Skylark coupe was the most beautiful “A” body built.
Why do doubt that it came with chrome wheels? It was an option I know you're well aware of. I think you just hate any chrome wheel on any Buick even though they were available and actually very popular with a lot of people. I know you are not one of them. This car looks to have the "proper" size wheels and center caps so it is quite possible these are original to the car. As far as the later model sport wheel being installed in the future all I can say is, it looks better than a sure to be cracked up stock one. Not every car is "proper" nor do they have to be.
hopefully they keep the skirts and don't mess with the look. I'm definitely a fan of them 20151008_143453 by Grandpas67 posted Jun 16, 2017 at 4:28 PM
I actually own a set of wheels and have run them on mine on multiple occasions including a couple BCA Nationals. . More Skylarks came without them than with them you do realize? Looking at the option list on this car, it’s lightly optioned and that usually is a good indicator. I imagine they were added to make it flashier to sell. I have no issue with chrome wheels on cars that they belong on. After a while you just get a good feeling for which cars came with them and which ones didn’t.
I'm a fan of the skirts and wheels on this car and the front looks like a mini Riv. A great looking roof line with that recessed rear window doesn't hurt either.
