Hi experts, i bought a 1967 Riviera last weekend. The car has 20" Riddler Wheels on in the moment. I got a set of Cruiser Wire Wheels in 15x7 and 235/70/15 with the car but with old tires. Now i am looking to exchange these tires. I am looking for whitewall (but a small stripe) tires in 235 or a little wider. What brand and type do you recommend? BTW on the long shot i will replace the wire wheels whit the rallys Thanks!
I got all four of my 235/75/15 tires for $225 total, brand new. Let me find the company. They are 1" whitewall and look slick
Thanks John and Electra Man, the hankook seem to be a real bargain, the coopers as well. I think 1" whitewall is the preferred choice. How is you driving experience with the tires. At the moment i have these 245/275 low profiles on .. its not really fitting to the smooth suspension of the Rivi.
Bumps are soaked up quite well and the turning still gives you confidence, these things don't shimmy down the road, they point dead straight. I've taken my Riv to the strip and pulled a respectable 14.69 at 93.21 on these tires, so they have my vote. 38 psi works best for me, I've found.
If you keep following some of my posts this spring about racing, you'll be able to tell if they spin or not. The Hankooks are excellent budget tires with from what I've seen, no downside.
