I recently ordered an 'OEM' style PUI window felt kit from the parts place. The original felts I removed from my GS are clip in but the replacement set I recieved has tabs for the outer felt. The tabs aren't even close to lining up. As for the inner wiper, it has the correct style clips, but the rear most clip is a good 1/2" off from where it needs to be.

PUI says I may need a different kit but couldn't tell me which one. The parts place inc. says maybe I should order the reproduction style (flat chrome) felt and it may fit better.

Has anyone gone through this recently with their 67? I want it to look as original as possible and don't mind paying extra or waiting a bit to get the right stuff.

I have a 67 convertible and had that same problem a few years ago. From what I found there are 2 or 3 different style kits that were used and the PUI online catalog may help you sort it out. If the clips are not there or don’t line up it is the wrong kit.

If I remember correctly I went through 3 different ones to finally get the correct kit.

Talk directly to PUI they will try to help but won’t sell directly to you.

    Good luck.

Jacob, I am going through this on a 66 GS hardtop with the wide chrome felts. I had Restoration Specialties make me a set from what I had left from mine. All of the clips on the inner fit and have the correct black none chrome bead. the door outer strips were nice, the quarter inner could use a bit more curve in the front. The door outers are good. The inner clips are in the correct place on both the quarter and door. I currently have the drivers side quarter inner and outer installed and the outer drivers door. The inners are easy to install, and ends are correct. The outers, the tabs are in the correct place to fit the chrome but you will need to drill the holes for the two screws on each. Kinda difficult to get the hole in the correct place, to match the original holes in the quarter and door skins, and in my case I was adding the wide trim to a car that did not have it, so maybe the holes were in different place, but these are the best I could find. Here are two pictures of the outer quarter that needs slightly more curve up on the front. I made them work by slotting the tab and moving them up. I can take some better pictures of the ones I have installed if that will help. Note 66/7 inner are the same for either wide chrome or no chrome, the difference is the outer. Hope this helps. I ended up going with a set of original style felts made by Repops. Opgi sells them and they fit perfectly. Look almost identical to the factory stuff save for some extra chrome at the end that I just snipped off.
