Just a random thought to have all the guys on
Here start a photographic registry of their true 1967 gs
400 convertibles. I say post pics of your car doesn't matter what condition. Can be concours show or unrestored in grand mas back yard! For security reasons
No vin required. Just a photo log. I can't help but wonder how many cars are truly left and how many members here own them

Great idea. I've posted some photos of my ragged '67 GS400 convertible below to get this thread rolling.

For many years I've been snagging photos and information about GS400 convertibles from the Internet or in person when I've seen them. I have photos and info for 40+ GS400 convertibles at this point. A few years ago I started doing the same for the GS400 hardtops and sedans as well.

My intention has been to create a dedicated website for the '67 GS with all of the information I've accumulated since 1988 when we bought the '67 GS400 that I currently own. There seems to only be a small group of guys that know the details about the '67 GS so I want to help others that may be new owners or prospective owners of a '67 GS get up to speed by placing everything on one easy to navigate website. A part of that site would also be a registry of sorts for the '67 GS cars. It would not include any personal info or VINs. The purpose of the resistry would be to see how many real '67 GS cars exist, not who owns them or where they are specifically located today. I believe there are quite a few out there.

The web address I reserved is 1967GS.com but I've not got anything up and visible to the public yet. Hopefully I can get it done in 2017.

My '67 GS convertible was my first car, given to me from my mother in 1991. I drove it daily to high school and first couple of years of college and we’ve put over 100k miles on it. Factory options & features include: Blue Mist Paint (very faded now) with white (dove) interior, white convertible top (currently black), ST400 automatic transmission, PS, PW, P-bench seat, factory disc brakes (with mandatory DG-code rally wheels (not shown in the photos)), 2.93 positraction rearend (currently running 3.55s), AM radio, tinted glass, belt moldings, clock, remote mirror, deluxe seat belts, & door edge guards. All stock appearing iron engine, 9.98:1 compression ratio, switch pitch trans, 3.55 gears, 2-1/2” exhaust, over 500 passes at the drag strip over the years, best e.t. 12.10 @ 111. We've been gathering parts and planning a complete restoration for decades but really enjoy driving and racing it as-is. If it were restored I would probably not enjoy it as much as I do as a driver/racer.

I'm in! I have several hundred pics of my restoration and would happy to share anything I've learned with anyone that can use it.
I don't know how many folks know this, but Gary has been a wealth of information on 67 GS cars. Therefore, I'd like to nominate him as the "keeper of the fold" if he's willing and able.

Thanks to the OP for getting this going.

Got my convertible in July and have been updating it since. Not finished yet but will be by end of January. Looking forward to getting it on the road assuming a decent winter in Texas with temperatures in the 50-60's although we had 17 this morning, 15 expected in the morning, and 0 with the wind chill. Keep us posted on the progress of the web site.

Stacey I am really digging your all black convertible, rare and stunning. I am in the process of converting my 67 SportWagon to a GS Clone and it is all OEM black inside and out. I want to add the red pinstriping and your car confirms how awesome that will be. Getting ready to have a 67 400 engine rebuilt and put in the car and just bought a 67 GS hood with scoops.

I don't have a convertible 67 unfortunately (yet?), but I love this thread. Just like the rest of you, I love me some 67 GS's!!!

Chuck, although Stacey's car looks like it's black, it's actually a very dark or midnight blue.

I think I have about 40 GS400 convertibles in my list. I will try to put them in some sort of organized list soon and then I'll post them in this thread for now since I don't have the website up and running. I suspect that I don't have any of your cars listed unless they have been posted for sale in a public place. So I will probably be able to add a few more to the list if you are willing to send me the information about your car. Thanks guys.

Gary, i checked out the webpage at bottom of your posting.
The 66 or 67 green gto on the main home page caught my eye.
Is there anyway u happen to know the name of that color or the code it
Was sprayed in? Its an absolute beautiful color. When i spray my vert i would love to
    Use that color!

You are correct: Paint Code: L Paint Name: Marina Turquoise

The car Chris referenced is my dad's driver GTO. I rode home from the hospital in that car after my birth in 1974. So I used the same car to bring both of my sons home after their births within the last 7 years. Besides my '67 GS convertible, I guess the '66 GTO is my sentimental favorite car.

Buquick have u made any progress on updating the webpage? I would love to see the collection of information u have put together over all these years and im sure the other 67 guys would too

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

I went through my files and I had photos and information for 49 different '67 GS400 convertibles. However, I only had a VIN or body # recorded for 40 of them. So my initial list only includes those 40 cars that can be uniquely identified. I didn't have both the VIN and the body tag info for all 40 cars so that's why there are some blanks.

I would like to add your car to the list if it is not already included. It does not matter if it is restored car or a basket case parts car, please consider adding it to the list. If you don't want your full VIN listed I can block out the last three digits. Please send the information through email to buquick@comast.net If possible I'd like to have a photo of the firewall trim tag and also a photo of the car.

I had some information on GS400 hardtops and a few GS400 sedans so I also started lists for those as well and will continue to collect information on all three body styles of the GS400. I would also like to also start collecting data for the GS340, GS California and the Special 2-door coupes (model 43307) with the GS ornamentation option so all A-body GS models are included. So send those if you have them as well.

Even if it's just this same information, hopefully I can get this posted up to www.1967gs.com as some point soon so that people not on V8Buick.com might also find it while searching the Internet.

So here's the initial list of convertibles as well as a second sheet I compiled to help decipher the codes. Both documents are in pdf format so you can hopefully download and enlarge it to actually read it without a magnifying glass. I will continue to update it as more information is obtained.

EDIT: the list has been updated 4/26/17

Thanks. There are not very many 4-speeds on the list. Surprisingly I've not run across one yet that has factory installed A/C.

I was able to add two more cars today which brings the total to 42 so I've uploaded a revised pdf in my previous post.
