IMHO----- White is the ONLY color for vinyl top on this car and this color.
Black will muddy it up, won't look as crisp and clean.
Don't believe me? Do a search for some Aqua Mist 70 GS's with both a black top and a white top. You'll see what I mean.

Are you the "new owner" or were you transporting it for the new owner? Details please!

That's good to know, I was going to put redlines on my light blue Wildcat.

I do believe there is a different look in between a black and white top whether in painted or vinyl also ! The new owner not me! Wishes to keep everything as it came from the factory! I think he is considering adding just a wood steering wheel, am/fm, and maybe cornering lights! ( but fenders have to be cut!) I went to help with the transport and look the car over! I have a life of time of projects and not a life time left! Made a quick stop in Bowling Green at the nats along the way! I picked up a pair of nice doors for one of my 65 projects! If I got a chance to have a cat GS this one would for sure fit the bill! I love the color and options combo! Thanks for the interest guys!

Nice score ! I thought this was a excellent car for the price and thought it would not last long. I also think this is one of the best year for the Cat's. Only things that could make it better were a convertible top and or a 4 speed.

Was 65 the last year for a Cat to come with a 4 speed option?

Yes! There were some three on the tree 1966 cats built (rare). I have only seen 3 of them 1 in a four door hardtop and 2 in hardtops! Non gs! The 66’s actually use the bell housing from the 65-66 skylark gs cars! Any big car Buick in a four speed is rare! Especially a wagon!

14 three speeds built if I remember correctly.
