What are you using for a substitute battery tray ? would like to use the holes in the core support to mount the tray, don't mind modifying the tray a little

66 and 7 are the same except for the core support hole 66 has on on each side because GS battery was on the drivers side. All 67's were on the pass side. From what I remember no one Repro this, I may have a nice one need to look.

I've been on the hunt for a tray that I can use for a 67.. Your 66 IIRC has a left side battery mount.. I found this 68-72. but it maybe a flip flop photo from below..

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Buick-Skylark-1968-1972-Sherman-Battery-Tray/283722878220?fits=Model:Skylark|Make:Buick&epid=658384925&hash=item420f338d0c:g:DUsAAOSwru1eBAyw

Also this which is also 68-72. it looks right side.. flip flop from above..... I have no idea if either of these will work for our cars.

This also pops up for the 68+ cars so Im lost..

The best iwould be a 68/72 Buick Skylark/GS. About the same size hole is about the same as 66 Skylark, and 67 GS and Skylark, if you space it out for the two bolts to the radiator support. You would need to weld tabs to the 68/72 for this. The other two, one is about the same place as 66/7 other would need drilled. Battery hold down is different. See attached pictures.

Picture 1. is a 67 tray, not for sale

Picture 2 is a 66 tray, two core support holes other wise the same.

Picture 3 is a NOS, 68/72 tray, not for sale.

Picture 4 the slight difference in the 68/72 tray and the 66/7 hole

Picture 5. hole spacing difference in 68/72 and 66, and hold down difference.

Picture 6, show the size about the same, and where the other two holes need to be.

great pics looking at the 67 I think that's what my target is, don't care about the bottom holes just where the tabs bolt to the core support they have the same hold down, if I need to I can weld some new tabs on the 67 to match the holes for the core support. Do they make a repo 67 tray?

Th 64-65 Olds/ 65 GS tray from Fusick could work. Uses the same holddown as 66-7 (also repo'd). Would have to drill holes to attach to inner fender/core support, and maybe add tabs to bolt to core support. I've looked around at swap meets and haven't seen anything similar to the 66-7 trays. Amazon has some generic plastic trays for under $20 if that works for you.
This is the Fusick tray, sold by CARS:

    And the repo 65-7 holddown:

well, If anyone is interested after installing the 65 battery tray in the 66 GS. The back of the tray at the core support sits 1.25 lower than the front. I would think the fluid in the battery would be better off level ? It appears that the bottom of the 65 tray has a higher step at the front than at the back. not sure how I'm going to compensate for the 1.25 difference. Any pics of the bottom of these to trays ?
