The 66gs I am restoring came with the console/4speed plate, it was a bucket seat car but someone had removed the console and buckets and put in a bench.. Everything is still in place (seat mounts) except for the mounting bracket of the console. Does anyone with a 4 speed have a pic of where the bracket was mounted, I cannot find anything that looks like it was cut or ground or I am missing it. Or possibly point me to the pages in the manual's that give location/measurements and how they were mounted, I think I have flipped every page in the books I have and cannot find anything for 4 speed.

    Thanks.

A mounting bracket wasn't used for the 3 speed/4 speed consolette, it just screws to the floor.
I have the assembly manual but it doesn't show any dimensions for mounting. I guess just center the console with shifter in neutral.

If you had the storage console between the seats, it did use a mounting bracket which was welded to the floor.

Ya I have both, but the bracket is missing. So I was just going to mount the consolette and then back up the storage after it. The mounting bracket was removed for someone putting in a bench and they must have done a clean job as I cannot tell where it was. Wish the carpet was somewhat intact as that would have given me a hint.
