I used a Fel-Pro 60000 gasket and really don't think it is thick enough to seal my carb correctly. After the car runs for a while I can see some air bubbles getting past the gasket. I can't seem to tune the carb at all. The mixing screws don't do much.

Does anyone sell a thicker gasket or do I need to double or triple up on the Fel-Pro gasket?

    Let me know.
    Thanks,

    Rob,
You Might Want To Check Your Mating Surfaces With A Straight Edge. You Can Try Removing The Mixture Screws And Blowing Compressed Air Through The Holes To Possible Back Clean Any Debris. The 2 Bbl.'s Have Idle Tubes Like The Q-jet Which Can Get Clogged. Good Luck

Thanks for your reply. I just ran the car again. When it warms up some I can see some condensation of water/fuel that creates some air bubbles between the carb and manifold. Also, I am having trouble with one of the studs that holds the carb down. It does not tighten well when it gets towards the base of the carb. I am thinking if I use a thicker gasket I can seal it better. The fel-pro carb gasket is like using paper  .

I will get the carb off and see what is up :idea2:
