Hey guys, does anyone know where I could source a Hood for my 66 Lesabre 4 door? The one that pulls up on google with the fenders and doors has been sold. I am in Tennessee. Thank you all.
Desert Valley Auto Parts - Phoenix Hidden Valley Auto Parts - Maricopa CTC Auto Ranch - Denton TX Believe all of these outfits have shipping systems in place
Sure. None of them will be inexpensive but it’s worth looking into. DVAP had a fair amount of varied sixties full size Buick when toured their yard a couple of years ago. Unfortunately these parts - fenders hoods bumpers etc changed every year on these full size cars. For the most part.
Take some time.....there is a hood out there.......mucho $$$ if you buy one and have it shipped from them out west places. Keep looking and i will look for you also.....hell buying a whole car for the hood might be cheaper than ....... Peace WildBill p.s....i got a 66 Wildcat/Electra hood but it is too long for a LeSabre.......
Guys I live in phoenix and I am 20 minutes from DVAP, so if you would like me to go to DVAP and look for a certain part let me know and I will be glad to. I can take pictures and text or email them to you.
I’d go for a parts car for sure. Missed out on one a few months back and been slapping myself since! I appreciate the feedback and you willing to keep an eye out too!
Thank you man, I called them Monday and was supposed to get a call back if he had one and he told me $450 plus shipping but never got a call, so I assume it’s gone.
I went to DVAP wrecking yard and they did not have a hood for a 1966 Lesabre. They have a 66' lesabre but know hood. That probably why they did not call you back. If you need me to look for anything else on that car let me know.
Unfortunate. A one year hood, and even less interchangeability. Reading Hollander, in some years, for Buick full size the hoods, and more commonly, the front fenders crossed over among models. Usually each year was different.
Thank you very much for checking for me, one will turn up somewhere! I bet somebody got a new one in the box propped up in the barn somewhere haha!
thanks bill, these 66 parts are getting harder to find . just got done rebuilding the 340 have not fired it yet.
