    Hi,

I am finally ready to part with my 1966 Buick Wildcat convertible. I am hoping that the fine folks here at V8 buick can help me figure out the best way to promote my car. I don't want to mis-state the specs on the car, but unfortunately it's been so long since I have been engrossed in this world I do not remember all the details on the car's specs or how to verify them.

Here is my best attempt at posting the relevant information, I would appreciate any corrections to any errors in the add or information on how to validate the key information to ensure accuracy. The car is in pretty good condition, which suggests a value of around $15K, but I would appreciate advice on how to best price the car. I'm not looking to make money, I just want the car to go to a good home at a fair price. I am willing to be flexible on pricing for v8buick folks, you guys have helped me so much over the years in making this car great!

This is a numbers-matching all original 1966 Buick Wildcat Convertible. This car is in excellent mechanical shape and runs well. It is in very good cosmetic shape. There is a relatively small amount rust in the usual places as compared to typical cars of this vintage, though almost none is visible without crawling under the car. The car has lived it's entire life in California and Washington state.

The top is in very good condition, goes up and down easily and smoothly. The car has bench seats, great for having your arm around your sweetie while driving! The car has collector plates, so no tabs fees or renewals are required.

I have a clean title in hand, as well as service records for the past several years. The vehicle also comes with many of the tools my father had for working on the care, including a jack and jack stand and a few of the harder to find spare parts.

The vehicle is complete, the hood ornament and all other parts are present. The vehicle came with factory AC, but it's a convertible, so the AC has not been used in many years and would need to be refurbished if you want to use it. Original radio has been fully refurbished and works great. Vehicle has manual locks and manual windows. It has the Wildcat 445 Engine, with 4-barrel performance carburetor and switch-pitch 400 transmission. Each gear can be engaged at a low or high torque angle, making the vehicle very smooth for acceleration and fun to drive.

Transmission has been recently serviced, drive line has been balanced, and coolant has been flushed and engine tuned, and convertible top motor replaced.

The vehicle is a great car to drive and enjoy without having to spend money on expensive refurbishing. Drive it for years while caring for it well and then sell it for more than you paid for it!

This vehicle is in much better shape than a typical original car of this vintage, but it is not a polished show car. It looks great and drives great and is a solid "mid-range" car - not perfectly polished but not a junker by any stretch. It's the sort of car you can just hop into and take for a drive whenever you want without stressing over the flawless restoration or worrying about breaking down!

You can reach me at 425-269-2733, I would be happy to talk about the car and answer any questions you may have.

And to think I was in Seattle with the Electra on the 9th and missed this...looks like a fine car.
Wish mine had A/C...it would have come in handy in Seattle last week.
$15 K is a very fair price for board members, for the regular buying public I'd start that one at about $18K good luck with the sale!
