Was the dual note horn really an option for Wildcat? Had not seen one before.

    What a neat car!

  5. Very nice, like all the pics, does the air filter normally sit exposed like that?

No Its incorrect filter element. That in itself makes me wonder what else is not quite right with the car. I'd love to have it regardless.

IIRC, the car is not numbers matching. Why would you have 100+ pics but none of the vin tag?????

He does show the cowl tag but not the VIN tag. Was there one in Maine?? like this for sale some years back? [IMG]

I want VIN tag in door jamb, not cowl tag.

I am not familiar with 65 Wildcat cowl tags, but I am pretty sure my Riv has the rivets where the holes are, not in the middle. Maybe Ted can chime in?

Yes, it was... I have a Dual Quad 4-speed convertible (hehe) with 4- note horns... and have seen just a couple more. There is another 65 convertible
that is turquoise out in WA that has them too(Chris, you know the one). Cheers,

I think this is the same car as the Maineone you are thinking of. Nice rivet holding that thing!

Interestingly enough the Car Vin has been left off of the ebay ad, and the owner hasn't answered my multiple requests for it. Not to worry, I found it anyway. :>)

    Car Vin # 466675H946914 and Engine Vin# LX4465H937725

It is going to be hard for the seller to square that information with his EBay statement:

"Engine: Original Dual Quad 425/360hp Motor"

I suppose he could maintain that his ad does not say the engine is original to this particular car.

Now that's a classic fancy job mounting that Fisher tag! In a way I guess its good to have a close up of that red flag.

Good job finding that VIN Chris!

Greg, the only working ones I have are on the LeSabre Wagon. They are awesome when they work!
